It is considered
by most Peruvians as the best refreshing
drink. Our natural extract of chicha morada
is produced with a selection of fruits like
pineapple and apples, among the major; with
a discerning selection of purple corn, the
main input of this drink. The anthocyanin which is in the purple corn has
antioxidant properties, regulates blood
pressure, prevent obesity and is recommended
for diabetics. In addition, according to
research at the University of Nagoya, Japan,
it could prevent the occurrence of colon
cancer. The purple corn can only be cultivated
in the Andes of Peru and Bolivia. It has
been cultivated elsewhere but the product
